100 people, including children, lose their sight every day in the UK. This shouldn’t mean that they’re more likely to feel lonely and excluded, live in poverty or be unemployed. But it does.
We’re RNIB and we’re here to support the 2 million people in the living with sight loss, being there when people need us, empowering and supporting independent living, creating an inclusive society and preventing sight loss.
Less than 1 in 3 hospitals offer support to people newly diagnosed with sight loss. This is just one area where RNIB raises awareness and vital funds so people get the support they need when they need it.
